How do I get the columnnames from a recordset

Ok, I am slowly, slowly, crawling through understanding ADO and RecordSets to do what I need, the next step is figuring out how to get the column names into the first row from my recordset. Can somebody let me know how to pull that information. Don't mind that I have it already in the select string, lets say I wanted to automated it for some reason, is there a way to grab it or is that "meta data" for the recordset.
