how do I insert a variabel into a textbox

somewhere in my code I declare a public variabel say:
public variabel as string

on one of my forms I want on opening this for to show this variabel
say : Form = frmMain
what do I write in standarvalue for my textbox or in VBcode for this object

Private Sub NaamDumpACL_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer)
   ???????????
End Sub

Once you've defined your variable as public....
Public MyTest as String

You need to assign something to your variable....
MyTest = "Testing1..2..3"

Then in the On Open Event of your form, you simply enter....
Me!NameofFieldUWantVariableToFill = MyTest

When you open the form, whatever field you pointed to will contain... Testing1..2..3
