How do I keep source formatting when linking files?

I have a "combined" spreadsheet that has about 8 other spreadsheets linked to it. The individual spreadsheets all have conditional formatting in them. Is there a way the "combined" spreadsheet can pick up the formatting from the source spreadsheets? Otherwise I'm going to have to go through and set up conditional formatting for the combined sheet .... which I'd rather not have to do!!

Thanks in Advance!

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Hi, I don't think it's possible. :(
