I am killing myself trying to figure this out. I pray someone can help me find an easy solution.

One of my vendors needs me to send a .txt file containing data to be printed on cards. My Excel spreadsheet (original format) contains about 5 colums with text of varying widths.

All five fields on the printed cards have fixed widths.

How can I save the Excel spreadsheet as a .txt file with fixed column widths? Meaning: If a cell only contains 3 characters, how can I force Excel to translate that to 8 characters (w/5 blank spaces) in the txt file.

I hope I explained this clear enough. I would appreciate any help I can get.

I would like to help you but I don't understand your trouble clearly.
Could you describe it more concrete?
