This is more of a solution than a question, but i wanted to share this since it was quite annoying until I found an answer...

After buying a new Logitech mouse and installing the Logitech Options software last year I noticed that if I scrolled away from the active cell in Excel, say 100 rows down, but not clicking to move the active cell, then switching to another window, say my browser or even another excel file, then returning to the original excel file where I had scrolled down, the screen would jump back to where the active cell is. In other words, excel would automatically scroll back to the active cell, 100 rows up from where I left off in this scenario.

I just found a way to turn it off…

Open Excel, click File, click Options

Click Add-ins in the left margin

Select COM Add-ins in the drop down box next to Manage at the bottom and click Go

Uncheck “LogiOptionsExcelAddin” and click OK

Done

PS – I did play around with the settings in the Logitech Options software, but nothing seemed to help.
