Hi,
the only way I have found to disable the Data/Text to Columns function is to quit Excel and reopen the app.

Is there another way?

thanks Greg.

What exactly is your problem?

Data-->Text to Columns won't invoke itself unless it's part of some code that you have in your workbook.

Or do you want to prevent users from being able to use the function?

Pennysaver, he's talking about when you do a Data, Text to columns using a delimiter and then try and paste data into a cell that contains that delimiter, Excel will automatically parse it.

Logosafe, you can get round this by clicking in any cell that has data, click Data, Text To Columns, choose Delimited and ONLY specify tab as the delimiter. Does that do it for you?
