Hi..

I have 2 sheets called Master and Child.
Master sheet contains 3 columns A11:EMPNO,A12:EMPNAME,A13:DESIGNATION. The values are coming under this.

Child sheet also contains 3 columns with the same column names in the same location.

Is it possible to compare those 3 values in the Master sheet with the values in Child sheet??
If the all the 3 values are not matched with each other sheet, then just read those 3 values from Child sheet and append into Master sheet's end of the record.

Regards
venki.

Hi, venki,

your post is not clear to me
it is also confusing
you are talking about columns while your A11, A12, A13 seems to talk about rows
please explain again and include an example

you might consider to post in another language ... there is a forum "questions in other languages" here

kind regards,
Erik

Thnks for your response Eric!
Its just includes 3 column names EMPNO, EMPNAME,DESIGNATION.

Under these header columns, values are there in both sheet Master and Child sheets.

I have to compare those 3 values in both sheets,If the values are matching , then take thos evalues from Child sheets and put them in end of Master sheet.

Let me explain you very clear ,if i am unable to communicate you well.
regards
venki

if i know your mailid, i could send my excel sheet how it should be processed when you run the macro.

Logic should be very simple for You.

Just need to do comparing the values on both sheets,
if the matching occured just skip the record in and start comparing the next record in Child sheet. If matching occured, then take that unmatched record from Child sheet and append it into end of Master sheet.

Hi,

Email or PM an example is somehow against the boardrules: we are working in team: sometimes it can be useful to email but for this case I don't see the need.
Isn't it easy to display a few rows of data for both sheets + the expected result ?

tools to use: Colo's htmlMaker (see bottom page) & Table-It (see my signature)

best regards,
Erik
