Hi,

Kindly share more details and if possible upload the sheet.

From description, seems you would like to fetch data from workbooks available in other folders.

Thanks,

Absolutely correct.

Example : 2 file is there
1 : emp id
2: emp name

both are kept in different folder

1: D:\Study\Excel VBA .. ( in this file i.e emp id file, I want to fetch the emp name here)
2: D:\Study\Excel VBA \Test (Emp name file, from this file i requred the emp name)

I need to do vlookup in emp id file to fetch the name from from the emp name file. which consume more time to open.
So I want this process to be automate.

Your help is highly appreciate Sir

Hi, there are lots of assumptions.

Your second file (emp name.xlsx) contains both Emp ID and Emp Name
Your first file (emp id.xlsx) contains only Emp ID.

It would be great if you upload your files in a drive and share the location.

Thanks,
Saurabh
