# How to avoid #div/o!

#### SALO

##### Board Regular
In Cell R1 will be a number or a 0. In Cell T1 will also be a value. In cell S1 I have a formula that just does =T1/R32. The problem is when there is a 0 in R1 it returns the #div/o!. Can anyone tell me how to right the formula so it does not return the #div/o! but rather a 0 or nothing.

THanks for the help

### Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Try this:
=IF(R32=0,"",T1/R32)

Try...

=IF(R1,T1/R1,0)

Sorry guys, heres a better description

In Cell S1 I want a formula that divides the value in T1 by the value in R1

So the formula in cell S! is =T1/R1. THe problem is when the value in R sometimes will be a zero or nothing the formula returns a #div/01. Is there way that it can return no figure or vaulue instead of #div/01.

Yes, use Aladin's formula in cell S1:
=IF(R1,T1/R1,0)

Try following formula

=IF(ISERROR(B2/A2),"Error",B2/A2)

thanks that ISERROR FUNCTION REALLLY DID THE TRICK.
