Hi everyone, please find my basic Excel sheet uploaded here to understand my query: http://uploading.com/files/a41d1bc3/Finances.xlsx/

The sheet spans 3 months, has one row for income, one row for expenses, one cell for total money and one for 'per diem' (i.e. the amount which can be evenly spent every day for 3 months within the total budget).

Can anyone explain to me what the function expression for the per diem cell would be?

I presume it would be total money divided by the cell of the end date minus today's date, but I'm not sure exactly how that should look.

Many thanks for your time and help,

Lyle

Hi,

if you are using Excel 2007 you need to add a column that shows the amount of days (formula tab on the top) in the corresponding month, then simply add another column that is the number of days in the month divided by the total budget.
