How to check if a sharepoint file is in use/editable vba excel

I have an excel workbook in Sharepoint that is used by several users, I need to update some data using vba, but the update failed because another user has the file open.

I am using the function:
if IsFileOpen("https://longpathSharepoint/filename.xlsx")
wait 5 seconds and try again
end if
but it does not work
please I ask for your help
