Does anyone know of a video where mrexcel shows how to insert a result into a statement?

Excel Statistics 86: Confidence Intervals for Proportions #2

Take the above video for example. In cell b23, the result from C17 is incorporated into the statement. Can anyone shed light as to how it is done? I have tryed a simple =C17, ='C17', &'C17' but nothing. What is this action called? How does one search for a video showing this?

Thanks.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
If you put =C17 in cell B23, it should return the vlaue from C17 (or if it's blank 0). When you say nothing, what do you mean by that? Is it showing the formula, in which case your cell is probably formatted as text. Change it to General and re-enter the formula.

Do you mean Concatenate. This will be able to combine C17 and whatever cell "the statement" is in.

Yes, I would like the conclusion statement to change as the user inputs from another cell (in bold) as they are changed from : 95% or 99%.
For example:
The lower limit of the confidence interval at 95% is .2942 with a sample size of 1100 and a value of 354 Yes-es.
Updated confidence level would change the statement to :
The lower limit of the confidence interval at 99% is .2855 with a sample size of 1100 and a value of 354 Yes-es.

In other words, they should be entered something like this:

="These previous suggestions to use "&C20&" have been very helpful."
