Upon reciept of a particular report that is recieved daily, I wish to run a Macro from an Outlook rule that will;

Copy all the text from the body of the email
Save the text as a standard .txt file
Lauch an existing excel document that will handle the .txt file

Can anyone help me with this, as there is no macro record function within Outlook, and I am struggling, due to having little knowledge about it.

Many thanks,
Stuart.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Just a thought... the reason I am wanting to save the text into a .txt file, then open it with Excel is that I wish to use delimited column spacing to open the file... is it possible to bypass this step by just importing the text from the body of the email, into Excel with the correct spacing etc?
