Hi,

I have vba code that sits in a specific worksheet called 'tracker' that I now want to copy and save to the 'tracker' worksheet of some 500+ workbooks. These workbooks are already populated with data so the vba is to be inserted into the 'tracker' worksheet and then saved.

The files are in excel 2010 format.

Is this possible and/or is there an easier way to do this?

thanks all

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
look into creating a PERSONAL.xlsb file for macros that you would like to use on multiple spreadsheets

A 'personal' macro is not appropriate because these 500+ workbooks are on a shared directory. The responsibility for updating these project workbooks are with project managers who have differing levels of excel competence. I'm looking for a way to automate the one-time insertion of vb code to a specific worksheet in all these workbooks. And about the vb code itself, all that does is have a message box pops up whenever a cell in a certain range is changed.
