How to count between empty cells in another column

I have a list of companies that have a blank cell before and after each company in column C.

Example:
C:

abc company
abc company
abc company
abc company
abc company

xyz company
xyz company
xyz company
xyz company

and in column G I have an activity date if it is unique
Example:
B: G:
03/03/2020 03/03/2020
03/03/2020
03/03/2020
03/16/2020 03/16/2020
03/20/2020 03/20/2020
03/20/2020
03/20/2020
04/09/2020 04/09/2020

How do I create a formula to give me a count for each companies unique dates in column G?
