How to create a time (x) distance (y) chart w/ multiple lines and time as the variable?

I need to visualize train paths on a single track railway to suggest optimization of train schedule slots and increased service patterns.

The distances the train are traveling are obviously well known and should ideally be displayed on the Y-axis with the fixed points being the (accumulated) km-distance of the stations from the starting point.
Time (24 hours) should be displayed on the X-axis as usual - time is proceeding so we like to have it from left to right.

So there is no juggling around with the distances. It is the times that are the variables (the time when trains a calling at a specific station (km count). Like this (fragment, the 3 trains are "coming home" so moving upwards):

Is that possible?

We have drawn it up in Word, but that is a nightmare to work with, if you want to adjust anything it is manual mode only (number displayed are train numbers).

Thanks!
