Starting with a spreadsheet full of data. In Column "A" contains the "production line" , column "B" contains the "production date", Column "C" contains the "Product" and column "D" contains the response data.

Is it possible to use "defined names" to create multiple groups which could be graphed? If not, is there another way to do the same thing? It is possible to use countifs to set the same criteria...

Group 1 - Column A = "Line 1", Column B > "January 1, 2012", Column C = "Widget1"
Group 2 - Column A = "Line 3", Column B > "January 1, 2012", Column C = "Widget1"
Group 3 - Column A = "Line 1", Column B > "January 1, 2012", Column C = "Widget2"
Group 4 - Column A = "Line 4", Column B > "January 1, 2012", Column C = "Widget2"
Group 5 - Column A = "Line 1", Column B > "January 1, 2012", Column C = "Widget5"

To be clearer...I am looking at defining a range of values which are all located in the same column but I want to use the other columns as a filter to determine which values in that same column should be considered.
