Hello

Excel 2003.
Is there a way to disable certain columns to be selected?
The idea is ask user to enter + sign and then to limit user selection only to 1st column in a table. Other columns content is descriptive and must be visble to user but just not possible to select.

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Yes, you can do that with sheet protection. Select the columns you want the user to be able to interact with, then goto Format-->Cells-->Protection and uncheck "Locked". Now when you goto Tools-->Protect-->Protect Sheet you can uncheck the box to allow users to select locked cells.
