How to Do the Sub total

Hi

I have a Sheet which Contain Data row with the following names.

Client, Sales, person ,Product Bill, Rate Cost, Amount

The number of Rows for a Client are not fixed.

I need to put sub total and then use the Date in a pivot table.

How ever if i use the Excel sub total Function then i am not able to use the sheet for Piovt table

Can you please suggest any other way to put the Subtal for all the Client
