How to draw elbow with range except cell not empty?

Hi All,
I have a question that is quite difficult for me on vba software.
I have a lot of columns and need to connect areas but can't draw lines into the cells that are already in use.
for example attached image.

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
