How to easy add and subtract to and from a list of numbers?

Hello,

First of all, I have very very little experience with Excel, and English is not my first language, so excuse me if I use the wrong terminology.

Could someone tell me how to make a sheet with the option to add or subtract from a number. So that, for example, I have the number "120", I enter "45" in a field, and the quantity changes to "165".

There would be a whole list of numbers, and I would need a field to add or subract from each one. Is this possible? If not, what other option do I have in Excel (so I won't have to calculate and change all the numbers myself)?

Hi Leroy and welcome to the board.

If you have 120 in cell A1, and 45 in cell A2, then to add them, put this formula in a cell

=A1+A2

Then, if you change A2 to 55, or some other number, this change will be reflected by your formula.

Is this what you mean ?

If the number in cell A1 becomes 165, and and number put in cell A2 can change it again, then that's what I mean.

Is that how your code works? Sorry, can't try it out untill tomorrow. Don't have Excel on my laptop.
