Dear All,

Whilst playing around and learning all about add-ins, I have successfully managed to create a custom function and have the add-in installed as part of Excel so that the function is available through-out the Excel session.

So far so good but what I cant seem to be able to do once I have created the .xla file is to view the sheets. I can view the code modules just fine but not the Excel sheet objects.

Please can you advise whether I am doiong something wrong or whether the only way of viewing these is back in the .xls file i.e. the one used to create the .xla?

Many thanks

Pete

In the VBA Window, highlight the Addin Project, click View - Properties Window

set the "IsAddin" property to false..

make sure to set back to true when done working with the sheets.

Hope that helps..

Jonmo1,

Thanks for prompt reply.

I thought it might be as simple as that.......however, I had searched every menu option for that property and for me it just isn't there?

If I hightlight the .xla file in the VBA window and choose view->properties window (or F4) it bring up the properties page but without any properties listed. The .xla is definately not password protected as I created it.

Any ideas?
