I have developed a dashboard using excel sheet. I have my source/raw data in one of the sheets. Then I have the pivot tables in another sheet. And finally, have my dashboard in a separate sheet. I have slicers in my dashboard to filter as per my preference. Now when I lock the sheets in which I have my source data, the filter or the slicer in the dashboard is not working. How do I resolve this?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
When you protect the dashboard sheet (where the slicers are) - you have to make sure you check the box "edit objects".

your filters should work now. please let me know if that works.
