hi...

im new to this forum so hello everyone. my mentor said that i should join this forum if i have difficulties with excel in my work. so here i am and hopefully i can learn a lot from everyone.

i am facing a problem on my current project. the idea is to have a daily report and then extract the data from that daily report to a table. meaning that the table should update row by row based on a new date from a new spreadsheet being created daily.

For example lets say I have:

1. In Sheet1 a table with: Dates (A1) Data (B1).
2. When I create a new sheet, Sheet2, I input the date 1 July 2011 and data 100, it will automatically updates on Sheet1.
3. Now the next day on 2 July 2011, I create Sheet3 and input the current date which is 2 July 2011 and data 200, it will automatically add on the next row the new date and data.

This is the problem that I am facing, how to extract data from a cell to a row that update based on the current date in a daily report. Appreciate if someone can advice me how to do the above. If there is a thread already discussing this, do point it out for me as I have no idea whats the right keyword to use.
