I have been saving some webpages in a folder on my desktop. The path of this file (the saved webpage in IE) will now be the local folder address. To find the orginal site from which this page was downloaded, this info is available in the "View Source" under
the '< meta property="og:url" content=" <<ORIGINAL SITE ADDRESS>>"
Is there a way to get this data "ORIGINAL SITE ADDRESS" into an XL sheet.

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Info for more clarity:
the text that is wanted is the Original Site Address that is here in this tag in the source code.
'< meta property="og:url" content="ORIGINAL SITE ADDRESS"

The macro I wish should be able to take input as the local path of the saved web page and
the output should be the ORIGINAL SITE ADDRESS, in an XL sheet
for all the list of web pages.

Hope the question is clearer now.
THANKS in advance for your help

Hello ..with no replies.. I am not sure, if this is a tough nut to crack, or have I missed to give some details.
Request the MVPs and other seniors in this group to respond.
Have been struggling with this for 2 days now.
Thanks
