Hi there, I'm not entirely sure my title really makes sense. I've ben racking my brain all evening trying to figure how to paste a string of numbers with missing data ie: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9. In the gap between 3 and 5 I need a blank space and again between 5 and 8 two spaces.

So Instead of 1 I have 1
2 2
3 3
5
5

I hope that someone understands and can help me out.

Many Thanks

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Hi - welcome to the board.

Bit more info needed - where is the source data? how are you selecting it? where does it need to go? is this a one off or a repetative task?

Ok basically the data I have are store positions in a warehouse, for example the first is 4515 then 4516, 4517, 4518 etc. However there are missing numbers in the sequence on an excel spread sheet instead of it showing the data:

4515
4516
4517
4518
4520

I would like gaps between 4518 and 4520

4515
4516
4517
4518

4520
