Hello,

Does anyone know how to filter for * in excel? I've tried a search, but with no luck.

I've got a database where I need to extract anyone with a * in their name and was hoping I could just filter to include *, but looks like this special character won't work.

Thanks for any help!

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
or, if you wanted, set up a new column that drives the filter:

=isnumber(find("~*",a2))

...etc
