How to Filter the data for a specific cell reference

Sir,
I am a student, doing my practice in excel.
i love excel. I want to know how can I filter a specific data range for a specific cell reference.
I want to do this the way an option (like filter) but the help of Macros.

Please help

Something like autofilter, but with a macro? If so, perhaps you can record a macro using advanced filters. Post back if you need more detail.
