The Grid lines just not visible on a PC. following things I have tried.
1. The Gridlines are check-marked
2. I selected the whole sheet and gave "No fill" to Fill colour.
3. I went to Excel option, went into Advanced section, in Display section, the Gridline colour is black.

After all these things, the gridlines don't appear.

When I change the Gridline colour to a different color like brown, yellow ,etc then they are visible. But the default black color is not visible.

Any suggestions?

Secondly, I am ok even if the gridlines are brown as a default but they have to be visible.
However, I have noticed that I will have to change the Gridline colour for each new sheet in each workbook.
After opening the new workbook, the gridlines are not visible every time.

Please advise.

P.S. I am using Excel 2007

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
It could be a "Theme" issue. There's one person at work, that when I use her computer I can't see the gridlines unless I do much like you described. Knowing her, she has some kind of theme set that makes them not visible when they're black. I'm not sure of this, but I suspect it's something like that.

I wish I could tell you a better way to deal with it too. My way is just try not to have to use her computer :) . I guess you could create a macro to change the gridline color, and assign a button in your ribbon. That's pretty extreme to create an add-in to do something like that, but it's possible.
