The spreadsheet in question keeps track of my medical prescriptions, so it's important that it is accurate. It needs to re-calculate daily even though no changes have been made. Simply remembering is unreliable.
A previous version of the spreadsheet used VBA code, but that spreadsheet no longer works because it uses a custom replacement published by Chip Pearson. My VBA skills are not at a level that I can modify that code. BTW, Pearson freely offered that code for any one to use and modify.

Thanks fir your help.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Hi,
Take a look at this step-by-step explanation for Windows Task Scheduler

Does it actually only need to recalculate when you open the workbook or activate a worksheet or even just select a cell?

All of this can be achieved using a workbook or worksheet event.

We can help you with that.

Herakles, Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it does. I had pretty much accepted that I'd need to use the VBA solution suggested by another user.
I take it that All of this can be achieved using a workbook or worksheet event means that your solution doesn't require VBA? If so, I'd prefer yours.
I don't know what a "mini-sheet" is, but perhaps it would help if I uploaded one?
