Hi,
I have pivot slicers that are connected to charts and by selecting different options in the slicer it will change the data displayed on the chart.
But, is it possible to get a slicer to target a total number in a cell?
So let's say I have 12 months of data and at the bottom of the table I do a sum to total all 12 months together.
I have also turned the data into pivot tables and charts.
Now I want to see if I can create a slicer which can change the total based on selected months.
Is that possible or do slicers only work with charts and not values in a cell?

My second question which is still slicer related is, my slicer months display like this Jun Jul, how do I get them to display the full month? June July?
I have tried changing my date type in my table to long date, I have tried changing the date in the pivot table to long date.
These things are not working.

Many thanks
