I want to create a dynamic dashboard with drop-downs and scroll bars. I want to hide my formulas but I want my scroll bars and drop-downs to be functional.

I tried protecting sheet but it is not helping me out

Please suggest me how to do it.

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Welcome to the board!

When you say hide I presume that you want to hide the actual formula (in the formula bar), but still reveal the result.

Select the range of interest
Go to Format Cells (control+1) and then go to Protection Tab
Check Locked and Hidden

Now protect the sheet

Hi

Do you mean you have added scrollbar and combobox controls to your worksheet?

Yes.. And I want them to function even if I protect the sheet.. The user should be able to scroll the list and select from Dropbox even if he doesn't know the password

Ok I understand. Assuming you are using Forms controls, have you set the protection on them to notlocked? The locked property can be found by right-clicking the control > Format Control and then open the Protection tab.

Nope, sorry bud, won't allow the question to be taken of forum. Try and explain it better here. Worst case you can put it in a file share and perhaps I'll have a look and write back here.
