Hello!

Can you tell me please how to insert to cells the below characters/format, preferably with a formula as I want to blend them with other text and formulas.

• Dfgdfg
o Fdgdfgdfg
 Fgdfgdfg

if the above don't display correctly, you can get them from MSWord where it is basically the first level bullet point, and then second and third level (after you click ENTER for a new line and TAB for next level bullet point)

Thanks!

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Hi

Code:
    MsgBox Chr(149) & " Dfgdfg"
    MsgBox ChrW(937) & " Fdgdfgdfg"
    MsgBox ChrW(1) & " Fgdfgdfg"

Great thanks!
Where do I get the list of all these codes? What is the difference between Char and CharW?

These seem to be VBA commands, but I want Excel formulas.

From Word, I get:

2022
006F
F0A7

But how do I convert these into Excel formulas?

Hi

Code:
Sub TestSquares()

Range("A1").Value = ChrW(9679)
Range("A2").Value = ChrW(9675)
Range("A3").Value = ChrW(&H25A1)
Range("A4").Value = ChrW(&H25A0)

End Sub

Using Formula:
A5: =A1&A2&" Test"
●○ Test

Excel 2013 32 bit
C
7
=UNICHAR(9679) & " " &A7
8
=UNICHAR(9675) & " " &A8
9
=UNICHAR(9632)&" "&A9

That's great, apart from the last which is a black square, while I want white square.

Also, can you tell me please how to get these numbers when the only thing I have is the character in a Word document?

Thanks

For a white square use 9633 rather than 9632
To get the character numbers, I just used the Symbol feature on the Insert Tab, looked for the relevant symbol, copied that into a cell & then used =UNICODE(A1) to get the number
