how to link pivot table to dropdown list

1. I have a pivot table with fillter of let's say a,b,c,d,
2. Also have another tab used the same dropdown list
3. If i want to use vlookup to get the values from the pivot table to this tab, how could i achieve: if I change the dropdown list on this tab to bb, the pivot table's filter will also automatically change to bb
