I'm having a real problem.
I am using a formula that populates a sheet based on a month e.g. when a specified month is entered the formula kicks in and pastes a value onging from there. The formula then multiplies a value based on a scale that is in a range e.g first month multiplies by 6, 2nd by 8 etc. etc.)
It's used for a product lauch. e.g launches Nov 11 so from Nov11 a value is multiplied by the scale - starts slow picks up then drops off.
What I need to do is have the lookup value start at the first level from the first instance the formula kicks (>0) and then move along the scale from that point.
I tried a formula that counts the blank cells and total cells to work out where the scale should start (Countif) but of course get a circular reference.
Is there any way to overcome this?
Thanks for any help
