how to make a dual values in one cell

hi
i have a little problem here i have a formula in cell which give me the cell values but this values must change depending on antother cell values but i can do if statment sence the formula is written inside the cell bar

I know that the most of you understood this but i prefer to explain

considering cell C1 containing this simple formaula : C1= A1+ B1
so if the A1 = 1 and B1 = 2 then C1 = 3 but if cell D1 = 4 then C1 = 8 for example

i can't write this criteria in the c3 formula bar since the formula C1= A1+ B1 is there so what you suggest me to do ?
