my ex-colleague assisted in writing the VBA macro to extract data from another table to read the sales. All this while the figure is positive, now that we have a scenario on that the sales comm can be negative due to damaged goods returned..i.e. sale comm became negative, how should I rectify the below to read both positive & negative values. Thank you

row = row + 1
token = Cells(row, 3)
tot = InStr(1, token, "Total", 1)
If tot Then
scomm = Cells(row, 14)

ret(idx).scomm = scomm

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
to get the abs value, you can use:
scomm = ABS(Cells(row, 14).value)
to know if it pos/neg value, using sgn function
SGN(Cells(row, 14).value)
=1 (positive)
=-1 (negative)
