So basically, I have a workbook with 5 or so tabs. Some tabs have XML calls, others have pivot tables. I am trying to figure out how to refresh each tab in a certain order.

So the ThisWorkbook.RefreshAll doesn't seem to work.

I am looking for something like

Workbook."Closed Issues".Refresh
Workbook."Open Issues".Refresh
Workbook."Summary".Refresh

Thanks

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).

Just goto Tools>Macro...Record New Macro... and then carry out the refreshing manually.

That should generate code that you can call from a button.

Note the code generated will probably need cleaned up - the macro recorder records all your actions.:)
