Hi, I have the next problem. In one of the excel cells I have a full name. What I would like to have is find an automated way to have the first name in one cell, and the last name on another. Is that possible??? If so, how can I do it?

Example

A
1 Luis Urquiza

I would like to have it:

A B C
1 Luis Urquiza Luis Urquiza

The list I have has over 3000 names, that's why I'm looking for an easy way to make the split

Thanks a lot in advance!!
Luis

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
If it's just a first name and last name then use the following:
For the first name:
Code:
=LEFT(A1,FIND(" ",A1)-1)
for the last name:
Code:
=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND(" ",A1))

Hi

Data>TextToColumns>Delimited>Check Space delimiter>Finish

This method does assume that you have no names with three space-separated words (like Tom James Smith for example).
