I have spent 2 weeks trying to figure out how to enable sharing for an Excel xlsx file, but have had no luck.

Most of the google links, point me to adding "Share Workbook (Legacy)" to my Review ribbon menu, however despite following the instructions (go to trust center and remove author info), this does not work.

We have a monthly work log sheet in Excel that 6 of us at work want to be able to use to show what assignments we are working on throughout the day. A new sheet is saved once per month, which has the latest info from our database, and then work is assigned from the new monthly data.

We are using Excel 365. These sheets need to remain on our network drive.

Can someone please tell me how this can be done. I'm all Googled out on this one.

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).

Note: When I click "Share Workbook", I get a message saying that the workbook cannot be shared because privacy has been enabled. I am directed to remove the info from the Privacy Options.

I do go into the Privacy Options, run the document inspector, and remove the personal info. (I also ensure that "Remove personal information from file properties on save" is checked.

I then save the sheet.

However when I then click the "Share Workbook" button, I get the same error message.

I decided to create a new sheet from scratch, and something I noticed. As soon as I create a table, the document no longer becomes shareable, and I then get the error message I noted above. Is this correct? Any work around, while retaining the table?
