Hi...
if i have over 1000 different entries in a column U. how to speed up autocomplete suggestions because the words that are further below don't auto suggests the first time. but after looking for the same word again excel suggests matching words. so the problem here seems to be excel memory not letting the words below to access the first time around but second time.

maybe some sort of macro which takes Column U into the memory of excel and making comlum U ever-ready for autocomplete suggestion will do the trick ....... is it possible?

thanks in advance :)

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
well i tried to get it work...

i noticed if i type on top of the list it easily auto-suggests for the first 400 or so entries but for the real bottom ones i have to type a word couple of times, even three times for the names to finally appear for auto-suggestion.
But if i type from the bottom of the list then its vice versa... Now the bottom list is easily done but the the upper names are having same kind of delay in auto-suggestion.

do i need some sort of breaking up the list into two or three with a macro??

i type in cell U3. and it suggest the list right below, range is U4:U8605 .....using excel 2007...

appreciate any help :)
thanks
