as days go by, my excel takes time in closing. Before its only split seconds but now it takes more than 3minutes already even if there's no other application running in my pc.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Check you temporary directory on your hard drive - it may have stored lots of Excel caches. If not, reinstall Excel from Office!

Thank you very much Dennis. NT seems to be a whole new game. I know nothing about it.

thanks so much guys...what helped is the reinstallation. On deleting the .tmp files? It did not help in speeding-up my excel exit process but did great things in cleaning-up my hard disk :). Thanks very much...
