How to start a macro by entering a value in a cell?

Hi

I need to enter some information in rows. After entering info into the 8th column automatically a macro need to start to change italics to normal text, and move to the next row (first cell).

Anyone who can tell me how to achieve this?

Right click on the sheet tab name, select View Code, and paste this code in the resulting window.

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

    If Target.Column = 8 Then
        Target.Font.Italic = False
        Cells(Target.Row + 1, 1).Select
    End If
        
End Sub

This code will run automatically anytime anything is typed in column 8.
