Hi,

In Sheet1, I have numeric data at the first column(A), and the definitions of the numbers at the second column(B).
In sheet2, I have used those numeric data in column A; each number several times, and not in an order; the second column B is blank. I want to transfer the definition of each number from sheet1 to sheet2 , to the next column of the existing numbers. How can I do that? Thanks,
Serhan

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
if ive understood you correctly a vlookup will pull the information you need from on sheet to the next

try this

=VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet1!A:B,2,FALSE)
