When I open up my excel file it has so many formulas that it takes about 1 minute to calcuate. Is thier a way to insert a progress bar so that the user knows something is happening and doesn't start getting nervous?

Thanks

I've seen the progress bar you refer to...it sometimes appears at the bottom of my workbook. It may be that your status bar is not displayed. I believe that's where the progress bar lights up. To test, click on View dropdown menu, then place a check (by clicking there) on Status Bar line.
Then close/reopen and see if the progress bar appears. I know this is not an answer, but it may get "the ball" rolling for you... /s/ Larry.
