In order to be aware of what changes I've made to something I sometimes just change the color of the cells I've modified.

Is there a way to automatically change the color of another cell that looks at it?

To be more specific col A takes a value from col B, does a vlookup on an external chart, and comes up with a result. But sometimes I'll manually change the figures in col B. Which means I'll then highlight col B. Is there some way for col A to get automatically highlighted at that point?

Thanks!

This code will work, though I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be somewhat slow if your workbook is large/complex enough. Maybe somebody else can modify this to be faster. But it might get you pointed in the right direction. Try inserting this into the Worksheet code section.

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
    Dim r As Range
    For Each r In Range("B1", Cells(Rows.Count, 2).End(xlUp))
If Not r.Interior.Pattern = xlNone Then
            r.Offset(, -1).Interior.Color = r.Interior.Color
        Else: r.Offset(, -1).Interior.Pattern = xlNone
        End If
    Next r
End Sub
