What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
You will need to apply a custom formatting such as: [h]"hrs."mm"min."

Excel 2010
ABC
114:001:253hrs.25min.

<colgroup><col style="width: 25pxpx"><col><col><col></colgroup><thead>
</thead><tbody>
</tbody>
Sheet1

Worksheet Formulas
CellFormula
C1=IF(A1>B1,1+B1-A1,B1-A1)-TIMEVALUE("8:00")

<thead>
</thead><tbody>
</tbody>

<tbody>
</tbody>
