Hi Y'all,

So theres and index out there with the short form name of HSI. When you type it into excel it autocorrects itself to HIS. Now I have deleted that autocorrect from my workbook, but the problem still persists if I send that workbook to someone else, it seems they would have to do the same on their version of excel. Is there anyway I can prevent this autocorrect from happening in this specific workbook, aka if I send it to a friend, they don't have to go through the process of deleting the autocorrect as well. Or will I have to write some sort of VBA to get rid of the autocorrect upon opening?

Thanks again for the help!

Are you saying write a macro to turn off autocorrect, or just turn it off in general? If the latter, wouldn't that only impact my workbook on my computer? What if someone else opened it on their computer, would autocorrect still be turned off?

Yes, I am saying turn it off for all. If you write code to do that, they will need to enable macros, something not all companies allow
