Hi All,

When i copy a sheet from a web page and paste onto an Excell sheet it displays the data as if I had typed it into the cells myself.

However I cannot use any simple functions with this, such as A12-A13. I get the Value error word.

Can anyone help with this one ?

Many thanks

Hi,

Sounds like the numerical column is stored as text. If you highlight the column and do data -> text to columns. The wizard will pop up, but just click finish and it will convert text to numbers.

If the numbers have "," or "$" in them it still wont work. Do a find and replace with blank as the replace.

Also consider using the paste special function and paste as text

Hope it helps
