Hi there,

Basically in the version of outlook that we use, we can only send shortcuts to folders that are in the public folder directory (on the left hand side of outlook). However, there are some network drives that, although they are not public folders, all of the people we mail have access to. What I want to do is create some sort of macro to create a hyperlink / shortcut to the relevant folder. Does anyone know how to do this since I can't even get the links to work manually. I can get it to link to web pages, but not to excel files?????

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
i might be teaching my grandmother to suck eggs so apologies if you knew this already, but have you tried:

<file:I\apublicfolder\asubfolder\thefile.xls>
